Roleplay Studio

What is the Roleplay Studio?

The Roleplay Studio is an interactive AI-powered environment where German learners can practice real-life situations.

Instead of focusing only on grammar and vocabulary, learners take on different roles and engage in natural conversations with an intelligent AI partner.

Each conversation adapts to the learner's language level and provides instant feedback along with helpful suggestions for improvement.

How does the Roleplay Studio work?

1. Choose your level

Learners first select their language level.

  • A1

  • A2

  • B1

  • B2

  • C1

The vocabulary, grammar, and conversation complexity are automatically adjusted to match the selected level.

2. Choose a scenario

A wide variety of real-life situations is available depending on the learner's level.

Examples:

  • At a café

  • At a restaurant

  • At the supermarket

  • At the doctor's office

  • At the train station

3. Choose a role

Learners decide which role they would like to play. For example:

  • Customer

  • Shop assistant

  • Doctor

  • Patient

  • Teacher

  • Student

This allows the same scenario to be practiced repeatedly from different perspectives.

4. Start the conversation

The AI automatically begins the dialogue.

Example — Scenario: At a café

AI: "Good afternoon! What would you like to order?"

Learner: "I would like a coffee and a piece of cake."

AI: "Certainly! Would you like anything else to drink?"

The conversation develops naturally, just like a real-life interaction.

  • Fluency

  • Politeness

  • New vocabulary

  • Suggestions for improvement

Improve my sentence

This feature helps learners improve their own sentences. Instead of simply indicating that a sentence is incorrect, the AI clearly explains why a correction is necessary.

Example

The learner writes: I would like coffee.

The AI responds with the correction: Ich möchte einen Kaffee.

Why? "Kaffee" is a masculine noun. In this sentence it is in the accusative case, so the correct indefinite article is "einen".

Intelligent additional features

The AI in the Roleplay Studio can also:

  • Explain grammar rules

  • Introduce new vocabulary

  • Suggest synonyms

  • Offer more polite expressions

  • Explain informal and everyday language

  • Provide pronunciation tips

  • Highlight common mistakes

This allows learners not only to see the correct sentence but also to understand the grammar and language rules behind it.
