Looking back at 2025: A year full of fresh inspiration for the youngest learners of GermanGeneral

In 2025, the Österreich Institut focused on the next generation of German learners. With great dedication, we have revised our children's courses and developed an age-appropriate curriculum. At the same time, the programme for youngsters has been updated – with clear standards that ensure quality and consistency across all our locations.

The focus is always on the joy of learning: varied social activities, lively classroom situations and topics that truly inspire children and young people. This turns learning German into an experience that motivates and has a lasting impact.

The range of German courses was complemented by creative summer courses, playful children's days and taster sessions, offering an accessible and entertaining introduction to language and culture. As every year, a highlight was the project weeks in cooperation with the University of Vienna: for a whole week, participants cooked, played and discussed together – in German, of course.

What else did 2025 bring?

  • New course formats

  • Interactive online activities

  • Informative webinars

  • Numerous events

  • Teacher training sessions

  • A cultural visit to Baden

  • A trip to Lübeck for the IDT

Curious? Read our annual report to find out more about everything we achieved in 2025.
